Abstract

The authors of this paper give a short summary onthe research and development actions carried outand on results achieved in the CIM Research Laboratory in he past years, partly during aHungarian National Research and DevelopmentProgram addressed as "Digital Factory". This paperoutlines some tasks solved in relation to interactivemultimedia and tele-presence based industrialapplications. These solutions may be helpful fortest, diagnoses and quality control of theproduction, or sometimes they just help theoperator's work. The basic research phase of thework was followed by applied research anddevelopment, while the concluding phase enabledindustrial applications and test scenarios.
